TRANSPORTATION
Arriving by Air - Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB)
The closest airport to the Québec City Convention Centre is the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB), located approximately 16 kilometers (10 miles) west of downtown Québec City.
All major carriers fly to Toronto or Montreal, where you may do a quick connection to YQB. Some carriers fly direct to YQB, Please check with your carrier of choice.
Transportation to Downtown from the Airport:
Taxi/ Rideshare: Taxi services are available 24/7 from the YQB airport. YQB is approximately 25 minutes from downtown and a Taxi/UBER is around $35 CAD/ $25 USD.
Bus: The RTC bus line 76 connects the airport to the Les Saules bus terminal, where you can transfer to other routes heading downtown. The journey takes around 45 minutes and costs $3.75 CAD.
Car Rental: Several car rental agencies operate at YQB. Driving to downtown Québec City takes approximately 25 minutes.
Shuttle Services: Some hotels offer shuttle services; please check with your accommodation for availability and scheduling.
Arriving by Train - VIA Rail
VIA Rail Canada operates train services to Québec City, providing a comfortable and scenic travel option.
Gare du Palais: The main train station in Québec City is Gare du Palais, located at 450 Rue de la Gare du Palais, about 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) from the Québec City Convention Centre.
Connections: Gare du Palais is well-connected to major cities such as Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa. The train from Montreal to Québec City takes approximately 3 hours.
Transportation from the Station:
Taxi: Taxis are readily available at Gare du Palais. The fare to the convention centre is around $10-15 CAD and takes about 5 minutes.
Public Transit: Several RTC bus routes service the area around Gare du Palais. Bus lines 800 and 801 provide direct connections to downtown and the convention centre.
Additional Travel Tips
Public Transit: Québec City’s Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) offers extensive bus services throughout the city. Plan your trip using the RTC website or app.
Walking: The Québec City Convention Centre is centrally located, making it accessible by foot from many downtown hotels and attractions.
Parking: If you are driving, parking is available at the convention centre and in nearby public parking lots.
